Summary
We collect what we need to publish your pages, show you who viewed them, and keep the service safe. We don't sell personal data, and we don't use your content to train AI models.
If you have an account
We store your name, email, plan and billing status (payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card number), your published files and settings, and basic security logs.
Visitors to published pages
When someone opens a link hosted on HTMLToolz, we record the page viewed, time, referring site, device type and time spent on the page, and a daily-rotating hashed identifier to count unique visitors. We don't store raw IP addresses for analytics. If a link uses an email gate, the visitor's email (and name, if given) is shared with the link's owner. Comments, approval decisions and form submissions entered on a page are stored for the link's owner. We never store password, card-number or similar fields from forms. Link owners are responsible for how they use the information their pages collect.
Free browser tools
Most tools run entirely in your browser and never send what you paste to our servers. Tools that need a server (for example AI tools or publishing) send only what you submit to produce the result.
Cookies
On htmltoolz.com we use a session cookie to keep you signed in and protect forms. If you allow it, we also use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to understand how the site is used. It stays off, and nothing is sent to Google, until you choose Accept in the cookie banner. A ht_consent cookie remembers your choice for six months, and a browser Global Privacy Control signal counts as Decline. You can change your choice any time with Cookie settings, also at the bottom of every page.
Published pages use only functional cookies for password and email-gate access. They don't load Google Analytics or use cookies for analytics or advertising.
Retention & deletion
Deleting a link deletes its files, versions, comments, submissions and analytics. Unclaimed previews and expired content may be removed automatically. To delete your account, contact support@htmltoolz.com.
Service providers
We use trusted providers for hosting and content delivery, email delivery, site analytics on htmltoolz.com (Google Analytics), payments (Stripe) and AI features (Anthropic). They process data only on our behalf.
